DAY 4

Elephant-back Safari, Final Departure

On day 4 of our Bardiya National Park Jungle Safari, which is our last day, unfortunately, after having breakfast, we go out to do elephant safari. Besides the fun of doing this, the elephant safari has another advantage which is there are more chances to see wild animals because they are less scared when you are on top of your mammoth. In addition, riding the elephant also avoids the possible attacks of wild animals. Elephants generally head northwest and we can see deer, langoor monkeys, rhinoceros, and wild boar.

After the safari, our Go Nepal Travel Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. representative will drop you off at the Nepalgunj airport before your flight departure.

  2. Bardia National Park is a park that is a mix of dry forest with many cotton and silk trees, open grassland, and river islands.
  3. The best time to visit Bardiya Park is between March and June. Though the temperatures are at their highest (up to and exceeding 42°C), it is the best time of year to see animals (especially tigers) because a lack of water in the jungle drives them to go towards watering holes. July to September is the rainy season.
  4. Bardia National Park is Terai's largest national park and wilderness area, with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
