07:00 – Hotel Wake-up & Preparation
Your day begins early with a wake-up call at your hotel in Kathmandu. After freshening up, you can enjoy a light breakfast or quick snack to keep your energy up for the rest of the day. Also make sure to dress comfortably and wear closed shoes suitable for outdoor activity. Then we will check the weather conditions as the flight depends on the weather conditions, if it's alright then we will start getting ready for the exciting paragliding experience.
08:00 – Departure from Hotel to Chapakharka (Godavari Area)
Our Go Nepal Travels Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. will arrange your private transportation from the hotel. The drive to Chapakharka, which is near the Godavari area in Lalitpur, takes about an hour. As you leave the busy streets of Kathmandu behind, you’ll enjoy a peaceful journey through scenic views of green hills and traditional local villages, leading you closer to nature and calming your mind.
09:00 – Arrival at Site
Upon arrival at Chapakharka, which is located at an elevation of around 2,150 meters, you’ll meet up with your paragliding team and pilot. A short but important safety briefing will also be provided where you'll learn the basics of the flight, gear, and what to expect. You’ll then be fitted with a helmet and harness, and your pilot will make sure everything is secure and proper and ready for takeoff.
09:30 – Paragliding Flight Begins
Now this is where your real adventure begins! You will take off with your certified pilot and start soaring high above the Kathmandu Valley. The flight lasts for approximately 20 minutes, providing you with stunning aerial views of the lush Godavari hills, the vast Kathmandu Valley, and distant Himalayan peaks such as Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Jugal Himal which is just breathtakingly amazing. 09:50 – Landing
