Chitwan Jungle Safari is one of the best ways to explore the rich biodiversity and lively culture of southern Nepal. Chitwan means "heart of the jungle" and it has dense forests and wild animals, making it an attractive place in Nepal that attracts visitors from all over the world. Chitwan National Park is located in south-central Nepal, which is only 165 kilometers away from Kathmandu and 150 kilometers away from Pokhara, and it provides a variety of cultural and jungle activities for travellers to do. Such as an elephant safari, a canoe trip, a jungle trek, a local culture and ethnic tour, a cultural dance performed by local tribes, a sunset visit, a walk in the forest, a jeep ride, and many other activities. Chitwan National Park spans an area of 952 kilometers and is a UNESCO World Heritage. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to various wildlife such as one-horned rhino, several types of deer, sloths, leopards, tigers, crocodiles, monkeys, and numerous species of butterflies and endangered insects.
The elephant ride that leads to the jungle safari is Chitwan's most amazing activity to do. A four-wheel jeep is another option for exploring the jungle. In both cases, tourists can enter the jungle to see the wildlife and fauna there and satisfy their curiosity. Visitors can see waterfowl, brahman ducks, pintails, bar-headed geese, cormorants, woodpeckers, hornbills, peacocks, peahens, floricans, red-headed trogons, and many other species of birds during this trip. Trip Highlights:
A Go Nepal Travel Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd representative will pick you up at the Bus Park / Airport and take you to the resort for lunch. After lunch, we then take a tour of Tharu City and head to the Elephant Center, where you can play around with baby elephants and learn more about the program done there. In the afternoon, we rest for a while and also visit some local villages. In the evening we will enjoy a delicious Nepali dinner. After dinner, we will enjoy the cultural program and dance. The night on this day will be spent in Sauraha.
On day 2 of our Kathmandu To Chitwan Safari Tour, we woke up early in the morning. After having breakfast, we go canoeing down the river followed by a jungle walk to the resort. At the resort we take lunch then after the lunch we take the time to rest, swim or play tennis for a while. In the afternoon, we take an Elephant Safari inside the park where we can see rhinos, deer, and bird’s life and, if we are lucky, we may even get to see a tiger too. If time permits we can also visit Chitwan National Park too which is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. After dinner in the evening and we can rest and relax listening to the sounds of the jungle during the night. The night on this day will also be spent in Sauraha.
On day 3 of our Kathmandu To Chitwan Safari Tour, which is our final day on our exciting tour we will take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Once we reach Kathmandu, we will have breakfast and after that we visit historical places like Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa, all of which are World Heritage Sites. The Durbar Square tells about the life of royalty in the past. The Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important sacred sites for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple visited by buddhists from all over the world and the Boudhanath stupa which is one of the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon we will gather together for our lunch then prepare for our departure. Then you will be taken to the bus station or the airport before your scheduled journey while fondly remembering the memories you created in Nepal.
