Detailed Itinaries

DAY 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative of our Go Nepal Travel Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. who will drive you to your hotel room. After check-in, you will have a short break to refresh yourself and enjoy a sip of tea or coffee. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner for you in a traditional Nepali restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Nepalese cuisine. The night on this day will be spent at Kathmandu.

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
DAY 2

Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

On day 2 of our Everest View Trek, after breakfast, we begin our tour to some of the most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu that attracts thousands of travellers, which are also classified as UNESCO World Heritage. We visit many places like the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath) and the Buddhist Sanctuary (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At evening, we introduce ourselves to our fellow participants and discuss our trip to the Everest View Trek.The night on this day will also be spent at Kathmandu. 

Day 2 - Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation
DAY 3

Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 3 - 4 hours trek

On day 3 of our Everest View Trek, we will fly to Lukla. Throughout the 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (9186 feet), we will get to see one of the most beautiful air routes in the world, and see hills surrounded by high peaks. Lukla, which is the starting point of our hike, we meet up with the other crew members and begin to prepare our belongings and make arrangements with them. From Lukla, we start our trekking journey. After an hour of trekking down, we will reach a village called Cheplung from where we can see the Mountain Khumbila (18900 feet) which is known as a sacred mountain that has never been climbed. From Cheplung, we descend gradually to Phakding. The night on this day will also be spent at Phakding.

Day 3 - Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 3 - 4 hours trek
DAY 4

Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 5 - 6 hours

On day 4 of our Everest View Trek, we walk through a beautiful pine forest, we then follow the path to the north of the Benkar Valley. Then we cross the Dudh Koshi River and continue from Chumoa to Monjo, which is the entrance to Everest National Park. After crossing a suspension bridge, we pass through the town of Jorsale and cross the rivers Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi. A difficult climb takes us to the heart of Sherpa village - Namche Bazaar. At Namche Bazaar, we can admire the views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse. The night on this day will also be spent at Namche bazaar.

Day 4 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 5 - 6 hours
DAY 5

Adjusting Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

On day 5 of our Everest View Trek, we spend a day adjusting in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Khumbu area and includes government offices, ATMs, cybercafés, shops, restaurants and a colorful market so there are many things to do. Our guides will take you to discover the true charm of the Namche Bazaar. If you are interested in a day hike, we will also walk to the village of Khumjung (12401 feet) which is a beautiful village full of Sherpa’s. While exploring Namche Bazar, we also get the chance to observe the traditional Sherpa life, Khumjung Hillary School, and enjoy the flora and fauna found at such a high altitude. We will spend the night at Namche Bazaar. 

 

Day 5 - Adjusting Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)
DAY 6

Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3,810 m/12500 ft): 4 hours

On day 6 of our Everest View Trek, the trip begins with an ascent to the famous Syangboche airstrip. There are plenty of view Hotels right above the airstrip which provides amazing views of Everest. We continue walking towards the village of Khumjung which is surrounded by Kondge, Thamserku and the sacred mountains of Khumbila. While we are here, we visit Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery (a monastery famous for hosting Chef Yeti). We will spend the night in Khumjung.

Day 6 - Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3,810 m/12500 ft): 4 hours
DAY 7

Khumjung to Tengboche (3,870m/12694ft): 4 - 5 hours

On day 7 of our Everest View Trek, we descend to the Dudhkoshi River and cross beautiful villages along the way. We walk along a forest path that will take us to a river channel. Then we climb another two hours through pine and spruce forests to reach a small village of Tengboche. The village is also home to the famous Tengboche Gumba, which rises up to 3,867 m above ground. It is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. We visit the Gumba and enjoy overall views of the Himalayas, including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Everest. We will spend the night in Tengboche.

Day 7 - Khumjung to Tengboche (3,870m/12694ft): 4 - 5 hours
DAY 8

Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft): 4 - 5 hours

On day 8 of our Everest View Trek, from Tengboche, we do a steep descent of about 500 meters that will take us through rhododendrons forest and firs trees to the Dudh Koshi River. We continue our journey and cross the villages of Tashinga and Sansa before arriving at Kyangjuma. While here, we can enjoy spectacular views of Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. We will spend the night in Kyangjuma.

Day 8 - Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft): 4 - 5 hours
DAY 9

Kyangjuma to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft): 4 - 5 hours

On day 9 of our Everest View Trek, we first reach Namche Bazaar, then continue towards Monjo. The trail goes to the top hills beyond Kyangjuma, going through several curves. We also get to see many wildlife, such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, etc. when we cross a forest path. A steep descent leads us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We crossed the river twice in separate places before arriving at Monjo. We will spend the night in Monjo.

Day 9 - Kyangjuma to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft): 4 - 5 hours
DAY 10

Monjo to Lukla: 5- 6 hours

On day 10 of our Everest View Trek, we go through the trail that descends rapidly before reaching Chauri Kharka trail. On the way we passed the villages of Phakding and Chopling. The climb of Chauri Kharka is the last climb of our itinerary. The local staff you met in Lukla will not accompany you to Kathmandu, so today is the last day you spent on this trip. We will spend the night in Lukla.

Day 10 - Monjo to Lukla: 5- 6 hours
DAY 11

Fly to Kathmandu

On day 11 of our Everest View Trek, we will take an early flight to Kathmandu. Our guide will drop you off at your hotel and the rest of the day will be free for you to do what you want. Like you can walk through the streets of Thamel, which is a popular tourist centre in Kathmandu, where you can buy souvenirs, gifts etc, or visit temples, or just relax at the hotel. Finally , there will be a farewell dinner at night for you to celebrate the success of our trip. We will spend the night in Kathmandu.

Day 11 - Fly to Kathmandu
DAY 12

Final departure

On day 12 of our Everest View Trek, our exciting and memorable journey ends. A Go Nepal Travel Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. representative will drop you off at the airport about 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On the way back, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal with us Go Nepal Travel Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd.

Day 12 - Final departure

Useful Information

  1. During the trek, you can view Mount Everest (which is the highest mountain in the world) from its closest point. 
  2. Mount Everest is also called Chomolungma and Sagarmatha. 
  3. Weather of the Everest base camp  keeps changing in short amount of time, so you best be prepared. 
  4. The best season for trekking is October to December and March to May. 
  5. Namche Bazaar is also called the capital of sherpa's who are also known as the "king of Himalayas
  6. Everest base camp is inside the sagarmatha national park which is on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.
